English Version
A high-level business delegation from the Netherlands will visit Chile as part of Hyvolution Chile 2025, to be held in Santiago from September 2 to 4, with the aim of consolidating strategic alliances in green hydrogen and exploring opportunities in critical minerals such as copper, lithium, and rare earths. Led by prominent players such as Port of Rotterdam, Arcadis, Port Consultants Rotterdam, Vopak, and Rotterdam Partners, the mission will hold meetings with government authorities, key stakeholders in the energy sector, and representatives of the mining industry, with the goal of promoting joint projects and enabling infrastructure for the export of clean energy to Europe.

The visit is part of the Partners for International Business (PIB) Green Energy Corridor Chile – Netherlands program, driven by a joint effort between Dutch companies and the Dutch government to strengthen technological, economic, and logistical cooperation in the development of the green hydrogen value chain. This program brings together companies such as Port of Rotterdam, Gasunie, North Sea Port, Arcadis, Vopak, Port Consultants Rotterdam, Proton Ventures, and Soluforce. This initiative falls within the framework of 200 years of bilateral relations between Chile and the Netherlands.
A long-term institutional alliance
Since 2021, Chile and the Netherlands have been working on a bilateral agenda for the joint development of green hydrogen, updated in October 2024 by Minister Diego Pardow. In parallel, the Port of Rotterdam has maintained a Memorandum of Understanding with the Chilean Ministry of Energy to design logistical and energy corridors and develop shared infrastructure for energy exports.
“Cooperation between Chile and the Netherlands in green hydrogen is not only technical, but also strategic. Both countries share the vision that hydrogen will be essential for a decarbonized economy, and this alliance is building the bridges needed to make it a reality,” said Luis Soruco, Director of Arcadis Chile and Peru.

Hyvolution Chile 2024
A decisive moment for international cooperation
At a time when the hydrogen industry faces challenges in financing, regulation, and social acceptance, this visit becomes a strategic opportunity to strengthen trust and accelerate the implementation of projects that will consolidate Chile as a reliable partner in the supply of clean energy to Europe. Hyvolution Chile 2025 will be the perfect showcase to present to the world an alliance already emerging as a benchmark for international collaboration in the energy transition.
